Wilford Hall Medical Center Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) Probably most of the SWSO members are, as I once was, unaware there are actually two orthodontic specialty training programs in San Antonio! Most of us know of the University of Texas program but there is another one—the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) at Lackland Air Force Base. It has actually been around almost 10 years, having received initial accreditation from the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation on July 23, 1999. Watch for this program to be highlighted in the next issue of the SWSO Bulletin! |
