New/Younger Member Orientation/Welcome Luncheon
The schedule of events for the SWSO/GLAO/MSO fall meeting September 27-30, 2007 includes a New/Younger Member Orientation/Welcome Luncheon. There will be a presentation on member benefits and an opportunity to meet other younger members and share ideas and experiences. AAO trustees will be there to answer your questions and acquaint you on the inner workings of the AAO. So plan to attend the luncheon at noon on Friday, September 28th.

Appointments to ABO Directors Selection Committee
Dr. Tom Ahman, Speaker of the House of Delegates, has appointed Dr. Larry Tadlock to the ABO Directors Selection Committee. This committee will develop a plan to serve the best interests of the ABO and AAO.

AAO Service Members to Join SWSO
At the 107th AAO Annual Session in May, the House of Delegates passed a Bylaws amendment to allow service members to join the constituent organization where he or she plans to practice or reside after completing military service. Service members are not required to make this designation, but we hope prospective members will include graduates of the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Because this year’s SWSO Annual Meeting will be in San Antonio, we extend a warm welcome to residents from the Wilford Hall Medical Center TORP.
